Berlin is known all over the world for its creativity, innovation, originality and authenticity. One of the biggest contributors to this positive global status is the city’s ever-present mix of music, technology, talks, festivals and club events. The Berlin Music Week offered a joint platform spotlighting these fields in the form of several different conferences and festival formats. At its premiere in 2010, the Berlin Music Week broke new ground when it chose to be held at the historical Tempelhof Airport, which had only recently been decommissioned.
