Berlin Music Week
From 2010 to 2014, this week-long pop music gathering featured a sophisticated programme exploring digital trends and hands-on formats like Music Hack Day, while also offering the best parties in town.
Berlin is known all over the world for its creativity, innovation, originality and authenticity. One of the biggest contributors to this positive global status is the city’s ever-present mix of music, technology, talks, festivals and club events. The Berlin Music Week offered a joint platform spotlighting these fields in the form of several different conferences and festival formats. Even in the highly active music metropolis, this week-long event attracted ever-growing levels of attention, not least for the way it brought together diverse partners, from Universal to the Berlin Festival to small clubs. At its premiere in 2010, the Berlin Music Week broke new ground when it chose to be held at the historical Tempelhof Airport, which had only recently been decommissioned.
