In the last weeks and days before May 8, 1945, the violent crimes committed by the Germans and the Allies intensified once again. At the same time, courageous people resisted the Nazi regime.
Prof. Dr. Johannes Tuchel, Director of the German Resistance Memorial, talks to Dr. Hanno Hochmuth from the Leibniz Centre for Contemporary History Potsdam about the historical background, structures and consequences of these crimes. Together they will also shed light on the various forms of resistance that were directed against these crimes.
In cooperation with the German Resistance Memorial Center
The event is part of the all-day program on 8 May at the Akademie der Künste.
