On this occasion, Kulturprojekte Berlin, in collaboration with the Berlin Wall Foundation, is planning a programme lasting several days around the 13th of August to commemorate the victims, illustrate history and convey the value of freedom and democracy. On the anniversary itself, the central commemorative event of the State of Berlin and the Federal Government will take place at the Berlin Wall Memorial. City-wide events will be compiled and publicised in a joint event calendar.
