Back in 2011, we joined with a number of partners ranging from the district office of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf to local business people and institutions, such as the Berlin State Archive, to remember the glamorous decades of the Ku&#8217;damm and to bring a new shine to the once vibrant boulevard. Over the course of 178 days, more than one million visitors made their way to the area known as \u201cCity West\u201d to take part in 802 events.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"row\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-md-offset-3 col-md-6\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"box\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<read-more inline-template>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"copy_read_more copy\" ref=\"body\" style=\"height:0;overflow: hidden;display: none;\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div><p>A showcase exhibition \u201cKurf\u00fcrstendamm Boulevard \u2013 125 Years, 150 Stories\u201d documented the boulevard\u2019s impressive history, which visitors were invited to take in as they strolled along the wide sidewalks. The exhibition was dedicated to the myth of the Kurf\u00fcrstendamm as a boulevard of stars, a great place to engage in \u201cpeople watching\u201d, a site of political protests and demonstrations of power, a shopping mile, a tourist attraction and a work and living space for artists, intellectuals and creatives.
