Press release | For the tenth time in the German capital: the jubilee edition of Berlin Art Week from 15—19 SEP 2021!
Berlin, 8 JUL 2021. During Berlin Art Week’s jubilee year, once again there will be a lot to discover in a joint programme hosted at the halls, spaces, and courtyards of Berlin’s art world: the most important institutions of contemporary art will join together once again and open their doors and exhibitions for art aficionados from all around the world.
»With this year’s Berlin Art Week, we can look forward to an art week that is still new, exciting, and different even in its tenth edition, just like the Berlin art world itself. We are grateful for the trust of our partners and constructive and creative collaboration throughout the years«, says Moritz van Dülmen, the managing director of Kulturprojekte Berlin GmbH, responsible for coordinating the collaboration of Berlin Art Week’s partners. »In its founding year 2012, Berlin Art Week was an experiment with eleven initial partners that has become a constant in the Berlin art world. Now with over 50 partners, Berlin Art Week forms a platform to bring together institutions and visitors to make art visible and accessible beyond the city’s borders and thus to strengthen cultural participation in our society.«
Berlin Art Week will celebrate its jubilee year with several special events and programmes. An expanded visitors’ programme this year will make possible even more access to art—locally in the city’s neighbourhoods across the entire city. In collaboration with our many participating partner institutions, Berlin Art Week 2021 will once again present a unique programme with positions and artists from all over the world.
